Respawn: had announced the arrival of it's free to play hero fps game making it's way to the mobile platform launching globally - 2022.

Now a lot of the community who are new to the game want's to know - What is ordnance? and how to use them in Apex Legends Mobile

The confusing part about What Ordnance is - why is it called that ?.

Well the term is quite simple yet complicated at the same time.

Ordnance is a term used to describe military supplies, tools and equipment used in the heat of battle as a source of detterence and protection.

The term came about in Apex Legends as a way of not limiting what items fall into this category as Ordnance is a broader term including other items such as the storage of weapons, ammunition and maintenance of arsenals for further use.

Now we know that Ordnance covers a wide variety of items, Apex Legends itself does not make full use of this as the items in game are not maintenance supplies but mostly used for detterence and protection.

makes you wonder why Respawn uses that term instead of something much simpler such as throwables.

What are all available Ordnances in Apex Legends Mobile?

Even though the term Ordnance is very broad and covers a lot of what items it could be, it may be surprising that this isn't the case in Apex Legends Mobile as there are only three (3) Ordnances available in game at this time.

All Ordnance available in Apex Legends Mobile:

I - Frag Grenade
II - Arc Star
III - Thermite Grenade

In addition to the above mentioned - Legends themselves do have exclusive Ordnances available specific to them such as:

I - Bangalore - Smoke Launcher/ Grenade & Creeping Barrage
II - Gibraltar - Mortar Bombardment
III - Caustic - Nox Gas Grenade

So following the list mentioned, you can see why the Developers chose to use the term Ordnance instead of throwables, as Ordnance includes a larger variety of additions including Legend Ultimates and Abilities.

Apex Legends Mobile Ordnance - How to use them?

Frag Grenade

Has a delayed timer of around 4 seconds before it detonates and explodes, however it is capable of detonating during impact.

Arc Star

Latches onto opponents or surfaces, has sharp edges with a delayed timer of around 3 seconds before a burst of explosion occurs.

Thermite Grenade

After being thrown and landed, it spreads across horizontally for just about 3 metres in distance with a line of fire.
